Effective for all bookings from 10/11/2020
1.Admission is only permitted after electronic registration has been completed.
2.All guests spending the night at the site must provide their full name, address and vehicle registration number(s) – this data will be used to support Covid-19 Test Trace Protect procedures.
3.Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
2. Arrivals and departures
1.Late arrivals must notify the site as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to re-let your unit.
3. Changes to your holiday
1.Bookings cannot be amended within 2 day(s) of arrival.
1.A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog. We recommend that your dog is also insured for straying.
2.Dogs are not allowed in the Coppice Pitch bell tent.
3.Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times. We reserve the right to terminate your booking without refund in the event that your dog creates a nuisance to other customers, is off lead or unsupervised or is worrying our or neighbouring livestock.
4.Dogs may only be exercised off lead in the designated exercise field.
5.The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.
6.Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.
7.Please ensure your dog has suitable and secure accommodation within your unit or vehicle. Do not leave your dogs shut in hot cars.
8.You are required to clean up after your dog and dispose of the waste responsibly. Eco-bags and disposal points are available on site.
1.Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.
2.In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management’s attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
3.The site has a silent-site policy from 10 p.m until 7 a.m. Quiet hours must be respected and conversations should be polite and at low volume. All electronic devices, radios etc must be switched off during this time. Acoustic instruments can be played before 10pm. Guest’s failing to adhere to the silent-site policy may have their stay terminated without refund.
4.Guest’s language and behaviour must be appropriate for a family campsite. Swearing, unsociable or abusive behaviour may result in denial of access to the site or termination of the guest’s stay without refund.
5.The use of recreational drugs on site is prohibited and will result in termination of the guest’s stay without refund and the guest will be reported to the relevant authority.
6.Single sex/large group bookings will only be allowed at the manager’s discretion and a security/good behaviour deposit may be requested.
7.Drones are not permitted to be flown from the site.
8.The use of laser display equipment or other illumination is not permitted on site.
9.The release of balloons, sky lanterns and other items that may cause littering or a fire risk are strictly prohibited.
10.caravans, campervans and motorhomes are not permitted.
11.All rubbish must be recycled. That means separating glass, tins, plastic, paper, cardboard, food waste etc. and placing them in the designated bins. What is left, ie only item that are not recyclable, can be placed in the landfill bin. Wild Cherry Camping Ltd may impose a charge of £10.00 for any guests that leave excessive waste or fail to sort their waste.
1.Payment may be made in full or part upon booking. Your Greener Camping Club (GCC) membership payment will be taken as part of your deposit. If you are already a member please provide us with your details and we will check these against the GCC database.
2.A conditionally-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure the booking. Pitches will be held for up to 7 days after which, if we have not received your deposit, the dates will be released. The balance of the deposit is payable no later than two weeks before your arrival date. An email reminder will be sent to you with an invoice. If we do not receive your balance by this time we will assume you have cancelled your holiday and release the dates.
3.If your arrival date is within 2 weeks of booking you will be required to pay the full booking value.
4.Payment can be made by BACS transfer, or online by debit or credit card using Stripe, the secure online payment platform.
7. Cancellation by Us
1.Weather. The management reserve the right to cancel, amend or rearrange your booking in the event of extreme weather conditions where it would be unsafe to allow tent camping to proceed. The campsite can be subjected to harsh weather conditions and very strong winds and rain can occur at any time of the year. You must ensure your tent is robust and correctly pitched. In some cases we may ask you to move to another pitch. Please note we do not provide a refund because the weather has not worked out or is not to your liking.
2.Extenuating circumstances beyond our control. In such cases including and not limited to ill health, extreme weather, fire and flooding a full refund will be offered (excluding Greener Camping Club membership which is non-refundable). We will try to offer alternative dates where available. Wild Cherry Camping Ltd cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, caused by cancellation.
3.Cancellation in the Event of Covid-19 Infection. What happens if you have to cancel your booking for any of the following reasons:
- You or a member of your party have a positive Covid-19 test
- You or a member of your party have to self-isolate due to contact with a Covid-19 sufferer
- You or a member of your party develop Covid-19 symptoms and are awaiting test results
- Your area is put into a localised lockdown – that means you will be breaking the law if you travel.
If any of the above apply we will do our best to offer you alternative dates. If that is not possible then the ‘Cancellation By you’ clause will apply.
8. Cancellation by You.
1.If you cancel your booking the refund policy is as follows:
- Up to 4 weeks before your arrival date – full refund excluding GCC membership
- Up to 2 weeks before your arrival date – 50% refund excluding GCC membership unless we can re-let your unit
- Between 2 weeks and arrival date – no refund available
If you are concerned about the prospect of cancellation please take out holiday insurance.
Bookings are not transferable without our prior agreement in writing.
Cancellation can be made by email or telephone.
9. Special Coronavirus Condition
If, as a result of Government restrictions on campsites we are forced to cancel your holiday, we make a heartfelt request that rather that a refund, we instead hold your deposit as a credit against a later stay, valid for up to 12 months from your original holiday dates. If you postpone until the following year your Greener Camping Club membership will be carried over to the end of that year.
As a small business, we are wholly dependent on your custom for our survival. We realise these are difficult times for all, but your support will help us get through this and continue to make Wild Cherry Camping a wonderful place to stay.
10. Hired accommodation
1.Hired accommodation: £100.00 damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
1.You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.
1.Firearms are not permitted.
2.Please follow the guidance on signs. Do not enter any restricted area.
3.Do not climb fences, please use access gates only.
4.Campfires must only be lit in the purpose made fire pits and do not enlarge or alter the position of the pits. BBQs should be raised from the ground at all times. In particularly dry periods you may be instructed not to use the campfires or BBQs due to the risk of ground fire. Do not leave your campfire unattended and think carefully about whether or not to light a fire if it is windy. Wild Cherry Camping Ltd accepts no liability for loss or injury caused by your campfire. By lighting it you accept full responsibility for it.
5.Parents and carers are responsible for the supervision of their children and charges on site at all times. There are various gradients from gentle slopes to steep banks which by their nature can be slippery or have loose soil/stones, exposed tree roots, dropped branches etc. Wild Cherry Camping Ltd accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on site.
6.Do not allow your children to chase or pester livestock and ensure hands are washed thoroughly after touching livestock.
7.Do not access the pond, access is strictly prohibited – there is deep water and sludge in places with submerged tree roots. The pond is fenced and customers should not cross the fence.
8.Do not cross onto neighbouring property. The farmland to the left and front of the site is likely to have cows, sheep, tractors and other machinery present and there is no right of way.
9.The woodland to the back of the site is privately owned and shooting/fishing may be in progress. The track way is the property of the landowner and there is no right of way, access is strictly limited to the landowner, fishing clubs and shoot vehicles only. There is NO access to the river from our site, a public right of way to the River Ceiriog can be found approximately 1.5 miles walk at Pont-Y-Blew.
1.No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area. Depending on ground conditions and accessibility needs we may permit vehicle access for pitching up/packing down. When vehicle access is unavailable we can provide assistance in transporting your tent and equipment to your pitch.
2.The speed limit whilst on site, including using the tracks across neighbouring land is 5mph.
3.Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
