As an eco-campsite we like to keep things as simple as possible and encourage recycling and renewable energy. We also like to support local and British business as part of our purchasing policy.
Our on site toilet and shower block is an ex-prison van body consigned for scrap – we thought it was an ideal conversion project as it’s already insulated, wired up for power and washable! The unit is split into two with a separate access flushing toilet to one end and the remaining area set up as a good sized family wash room with double vanity sink and a secure shower and dressing area.
In addition to the shower unit there is a parking area, honesty shop for small essentials including logs, cold drinks, ice creams and small essentials. The shop also houses a campers fridge freezer and a microwave.
On the main camping field there is a washing up area with hot running water and a further single shower.
There are three water standpipes on site. There are no Elsan disposal facilities as composting loos are provided on each pitch.
There are five pitches on site – three standard tent pitches with their own composting toilets, one basic overnight pitch for a small tent and one furnished bell tent pitch with kitchen and composting toilet. There is no electric hook up as we are off grid.
Power is available at the shower unit for charging mobile phones and power banks.
Vehicle access is available to the camping pitch for pitching up and packing down, we respectfully ask that guests keep their cars parked at the main car park once pitched up.
