Small campervans are welcome on all our main tent pitches and Acorn. Roof tents and small trailer tents can also be used on the Hayfield pitches.

The Greener Camping Club Membership fee of £12 is compulsory and non-refundable. Membership runs from January to December each year, memberships purchased on or after 1st September are valid to the following December (e.g. join in September 2026, membership expires 31st December 2027).

We accept advance payment via debit or credit card through our booking system online or over the telephone.

Pitch Rates 2026

Hayfield Pitches (Sparrow, Squirrel, Badger and Fox) – £30.00 per night for up to three occupants or a family with up to 2 children under 4 years old, or £37.00 per night for families with 2 or more children over the age of 4, or adult groups of four or more. Minimum 2 night stay. Maximum 6 guests.

Acorn Pitch – £25.00 per night maximum four occupants, no minimum night stay. Space for a small campervan.

Hazel Pitch – £20.00 per night, micro pitch maximum three occupants, no minimum night stay. No pitch side parking.

Coppice Camp – furnished bell tent sleeping four – £75.00 per night for four occupants, minimum 2 night stay. Please note bedding is not included. An additional £15 per night charge for bedding if required (sheets, duvets & covers and pillows & cases).

Tipi Pitch – 18′ furnished tipi sleeping four. £75 per night for four occupants, minimum 2 night stay. Bedding is not included. An additional £15 per night charge for bedding if required (sheets, duvets & covers and pillows & cases).

Extras

- Dogs – £2.00 per dog, per night – Dogs MUST be on a lead or tether at ALL TIMES. Owners will be required to sign a dog owner conduct agreement on arrival.

- Pup Tents – no charge, one per pitch

- Day Visitors – £1.00 per person

- Campfire cooking kit – £15.00 rental for the duration of your stay (included with the Coppice & Tipi Camp price). TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO DRY CONDITIONS

- Extra Car – £2 per night. We allow a maximum of two cars per pitch due to limited space within our car park.

- Double up – £20 per night plus one extra club membership. Some pitches can accommodate two medium tents, please contact us if you wish to put two tents on one pitch. We recommend Squirrel or Badger pitch if available.

- Bedding bundle for Coppice and Tipi – £15 per night. Includes 1 x king duvet & cover, 2 x single duvets & cover, sheets, 6 x pillows & covers. Subject to availability/notice period, please contact us once you have made your booking.

- Electric vehicle charging – type 2 7kWh untethered charger available. Subject to availability. Rates advised on arrival.

- Logs – £8 for a large bag with kindling. Only logs purchased ON SITE may be used. To ensure that fires emit safe, legal emissions and prevent import of disease, such as ash dieback, we will only permit firewood bought on site to be used on campfires. TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO DRY CONDITIONS AND CAMPFIRE BAN IN PLACE

FEES – A charge of £15 will be applied to amend or cancel an existing booking.

The pitches are very private and have everything you need, which makes it perfect if you want to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet surrounded by nature. You get the real camping experience and can truly switch off and spend time outdoors, while still having access to useful facilities such as a fridge, a small shop, somewhere to charge your phone, and many other little conveniences that make your stay much more comfortable. The showers and toilets are very well maintained and always clean, which we really appreciated. It is also a fantastic place if you are travelling with a dog. You don't have to worry about other dogs disturbing your space, as there are clear rules that dogs must be kept within their own pitch or walked on a lead. This made our stay much more relaxing and enjoyable. The owners are lovely, friendly and helpful whenever you need anything, but at the same time they respect your privacy and don't intrude unnecessarily.

We had such a great time at Wild Cherry Campground. We stayed in the Bell tent and loved it. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and we loved cooking with the Dutch oven. Every part of our stay was amazing.

Verified Wild Cherry Camping-a perfect, rustic campsite Fantastic experience for our first time at Wild Cherry Camping. The site is incredibly spacious and peaceful. Our whole experience was very relaxing thanks to the tranquil set up that has been created. Having our own compost toilet on the pitch was a real bonus and was greatly appreciated rather than having to do a big trek off to a communal shower/toilet in the dark like on most campsites. We were in the middle of a fire ban so didn't get to use the firepit but hopefully will next time. The owner was really friendly and met us on arrival to explain everything. We loved saying hello to the goats and sheep each time we left the site. Wild Cherry Camping is probably our favourite campsite to date and we'll definitely be returning. (Please don't change anything- it's perfect as it is!)

We stayed on Sparrow pitch, seemingly the largest of the lower-field pitches. We have a large family tent, but could have fit two more on the site. The compost toilet was convenient, but the picnic table under the tarpaulin canopy was a real boon. Nearby was a sink for pot washing as well as a surprisingly efficient little shower. At the top of the site by the car-park was a small honesty shop including a coffee machine and microwave, as well as conventional toilets and more showers. Glorious to sit in the evenings with a glass of something relaxing and watch the sunset as well as the swallows, robins and treecreepers, and begin to hear the evening calls of the Tawny Owl. A really well thought-out site layout, perfect for a couple of nights away.

Amazing value for money you even get your own personal compostable toilet for your stay bonus no one else shares it! Definitely recommend and would go again

Verified Amazing campsite! Amazing eco campsite! My daughter and I had an wonderful time together. We stayed on Acorn which had space for our tent and room to play. There was a covered picnic bench to sit and eat on, a fire pit, and different recycling bins so you don't have walk back to the main site. The toilets were not far away but they do provide compostable ones if you're future from the car park. Acorn had a place for parking too which was very handy. Be prepared to wake up to curious cows mooing away! There is a little honestly shop with everything you need including hot drinks, ice cream, books and board games. There is different farm animals on site which I loved to watch - the goats especially love a cuddle! We spent out evening playing hoops and badminton which is provided also. The toilets offer non toxic sanitary wear which I thought was a bonus! Will definitely be returning again.

Verified Amazing camping for families The location was lovely peaceful and easy to find. The owners were welcoming and the site is clean. We stayed in the tipi and bell tent with 4 adults and 3 kids plenty of room for us all. The kids loved exploring the woodland around us on the campsite and seeing all the animals. The kids also loved borrowing games from the honest hut and playing them at camp. We had such a lovely time and would love to go back again.

We had such a lovely stay in the tipi, reconnecting and laughing together. The kitchen is well equipped and clean as can realistically be in the woodland! The beds were comfy and the toilets were clean. It was great to have our own private area too as we aren't big on strangers. Melanie met us at the car when we arrived and showed us around and explained how to use everything, she was really friendly but then left us to enjoy our stay letting us know she or her husband would be around if we needed anything. The honesty shop was great, lots of choice and well stocked. We loved walking around and seeing the animals too :) all in all, a wonderful stay, we wish we had booked more time as we mostly used it as a base for a festival.

We spent one night here in our campervan on the Acorn pitch. Parking and setting up was easy. Nice sized parking place then a nice area to relax with a covered picnic table. This was a really peaceful and lovely place to relax. Rob called by to say hello and it was nice to learn a bit more about the place. It's situated on a working farm. There were some lovely goats a bit further down. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return for a couple of nights next time. Highly recommended.

Very, very clean and well equipped with shower blocks, 'proper' Loos as well as various compost loos. Fantastic time was had by all!

Verified Greener camping We booked Acorn the smallest on Wild Cherry but big enough for two bikes and two 2 men tents. The pitch came with fire pit and we ordered a grill cooking set which was excellent for cooking our BBQ food. Also on the pitch was a lovely covered picnic table. The site runs an honour system for coffee, snacks , and charcoal . Currently it has one shower and toilet but there are plans expand . As we were on Motorcycles we could park close to our pitch but for cars there is a designated car park. Overall this is a great site to either explore the surrounding area or for an over night stop. Things to note: there is a local coop at Chirk for anything you may have forgot which is handy as there isn't a pub in walking distance but there is a Macdonald's. There a silence rule from 10pm to 7am. So no noisey neighbours, great for getting a good night's sleep. If you like sustainable camping then this is the site for you.

Verified Lovely welcoming campsite. An unusual layout for a campsite with lots of hidden different areas. We took the campervan non-electric and had our own garden area complete with undercover eating area and also a fire pit which unfortunately we couldn’t use due to the extremely dry weather. There was a fantastic honesty shop with all sorts of bits and bobs. This also had a fridge in freezer for campus to store their own food. There was one toilet one shower and two wash basin. However, some of the pitches come with their own compost loo anyway. Good location to get about the area and for walks.

The hosts are very kind, communicative, and knowledgeable about maintaining the site. There are two sets of campsites. Four in a field (2 at the top of a hill and 2 at the bottom of the hill) as well as sites in more secluded spots with trees between them (including a tipi set up). The showers were hot with reasonable water pressure and there are washing up stations at the top and bottom of the hill. The campsite 'store' set up has a coffee machine and other snacks for mornings. The flushing toilet and compost toilet at the site were well maintained and clean. The location is convenient for people interested in exploring the Dee valley, Llangollen, and the Clwydians. It is very convenient off a main road, but you are immediately transported to quite a peaceful spot.

If you enjoy peace and tranquility and a need to be a little bit closer to nature then this for you. Mel and Rob the owners are friendly but not intrusive.

Verified Off grid camping with everything you may need. What a wonderful stay, Rob and Mel were so welcoming and accommodating. The pitches were very generous in size and having your own compost loo made a big difference with hot showers also available. A small on site shop had everything you may have forgotten. Wonderful weekend camping and we will be back next year.

recommendsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. what can I say I love this place! the only thing I wish I would change is the hay field being cut, I unknowingly let the kids run through the field and all three came out screaming with their legs covered in nettle stings. the showers are super powerful and clean! the kids loved the idea of showers and a toilet inside a prison van! the shop is fantastic, the lemonade they sell is the best I've ever tasted! the kids didn't get the hang of using the toilet they preferred the prison van. overall we had a fantastic time! thank you ❤

Our children loved the space and freedom to run around and adored the goats. We were impressed with the picnic table with shelter which is a thoughtful addition to the pitch. The fire pit with complimentary logs was a hit. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We've already booked again for next year.

The sheltered picnic areas on each pitch are a nice touch and there’s power to charge power banks and regular shower/toilet . The site was spotless and well maintained with assistance from the owners to take you gear to your pitch . I would recommend it to anyone.
