Light a campfire…go for a walk…explore the area…play games…watch the wildlife…read a book…simply relax.
A quiet and secluded site for families and couples, with a silent-site policy after 10pm, perfect to escape from it all and recharge the batteries whilst letting the children embrace the outdoors. The environment is at the heart of our site and recycling, renewable energy and sustainable practices are actively embraced.
We have five pitches to chose from – the Hay Field is home to our three biggest pitches each providing plenty of room for tent camping and the convenience of a private compositing toilet on each pitch. Our Oak Field hosts our mini pitch, Acorn, which is ideal for short stop overs and can accommodate two guests.
Finally, the fifth pitch is Coppice, a fully furnished bell tent with kitchen, dining area and compost loo – ideal for back to basic glampers! Coppice also includes a private tent camping pitch that can be hired should friends and family wish to join you.
Full details on all our pitches can be found on our pitches tab.
All our pitches have campfire pits and firewood can be purchased on site. We also offer hire of a campfire cooking kit including tripod, kettle, hanging grill & griddle plate and dutch oven so you are set up to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner over the fire.
We are a dog friendly site and welcome up to two dogs on each tent camping pitch at no extra charge (excludes Coppice).
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and take time to stretch your legs around the smallholding. There is plenty of space to keep the kids occupied – play games on the 2 acre Hay field, traverse the dips and hillocks in Buzzard’s Meadow and see if you can spot Buzzards or the rare Goshawk cutting through the treetops, or whilst exploring Goat’s Wood you can make dens or go on a bear hunt! Say hello to our goats, sheep, pigs, turkeys and chickens who live on the smallholding.
